Indiana Landmarks and ARCH, Inc. are offering Plaster Repair 101 on November 18, a hands-on workshop focused on the basics of plaster wall construction and repair.
Expert plaster restorers will explain how plaster is secured to framing and cover common causes of plaster failure. Participants will also see demonstrations of practical repair techniques, including:
- Mixing plaster repair materials
- Taping and mudding cracks
- Refastening loose plaster
- Understanding how traditional plaster systems are constructed
No prior knowledge or experience is required.

For owners of historic homes and buildings, knowing how to work with traditional materials can make a difference when planning maintenance and repairs.
