A new outdoor gathering place for Columbia City is one step closer to becoming a reality.
Columbia City marked an exciting milestone yesterday with a groundbreaking ceremony for the Eagle Park Amphitheater. Mayor Ryan Daniel joined community members, local leaders, and project supporters to celebrate the start of a project that will add another destination for recreation, entertainment, and community gatherings.
Located within Eagle Park on the former Columbia City High School property, the amphitheater is part of a larger vision for the park’s continued development. Plans for the area also include a skate park, pickleball courts, family swings, and other recreational amenities.
The amphitheater is envisioned as a community-scale outdoor venue, designed to provide a place for concerts, performances, special events, and opportunities for residents to come together. Its addition will expand the ways families, friends, and visitors can enjoy Eagle Park throughout the year.
Construction is planned to begin this fall, bringing the community one step closer to seeing the vision take shape.
The project represents a continued investment in Columbia City’s parks, public spaces, and quality of life. Places that bring people together are an important part of building a vibrant community and creating experiences that make Columbia City a great place to live, work, and visit.
Thank you to the City of Columbia City, Mayor Ryan Daniel, project partners, and everyone who came out to celebrate this milestone. We look forward to seeing the Eagle Park Amphitheater become a place for community connection and lasting memories!
