Who doesn’t love free food? Come test some new flavors of one of your favorite snacks and give us your rating! This month, we are trying different pizza toppings! Ages 12 to 18.
Bring your project and your personality—whether you knit, crochet, embroider, cross stitch, or just like to keep your hands busy. This is a relaxed, no-pressure time to craft, and socialize for an hour and a half. Come for the crafting, stay for the conversation, and leave with a little more progress on your project (and maybe a new friend or two). All skill levels welcome—because it’s less about perfection and more about enjoying the time together.

Join Cedar + Flame for a festive evening of bright citrus, tart cranberry, and warming holiday spices.
During Sips of Cranberry & Orange, we’ll explore the flavors and traditional uses of cranberry, orange, cinnamon, ginger, and clove while learning how these ingredients come together to create a beautiful seasonal herbal syrup.
You’ll get to watch our Cranberry Orange Spice Syrup come together from start to finish, learn about the ingredients and syrup-making process, and enjoy two festive mocktails crafted with the finished syrup.
And, of course, you’ll have something to take home. Each guest will receive a bottle of the syrup prepared during the class, along with the recipes so you can recreate the drinks at home.
No herbalism or mixology experience is needed. Just come ready to learn, sip, and enjoy a cozy taste of the holiday season with Cedar + Flame.

In this hands-on Wildwood Apothecary workshop, we’ll explore Chamomile and discover the many ways it can be incorporated into everyday life. Together, we’ll learn about the traditional uses, explore its properties, and discover how different preparation methods allow us to work with plants in different ways.
You’ll handcraft three creations to take home:
– Chamomile Herbal Tea Blend: Create a loose-leaf blend and learn the art of preparing an herbal infusion.
– Chamomile-Infused Salve: Discover how infused oils and beeswax come together to create a simple, handmade skin-care balm.
– Botanical Bath Soak: Assemble a fragrant botanical sachet for a little herbal-inspired self-care at home.

Workshop fee: $30 payable via cash or check (checks payable to Whitley County 4-H ) at the Whitley County Extension Office located in the basement of the Government Center (220 W Van Buren St. Suite LL4, Columbia City, IN 46725) or pay by card via Venmo.
Payment is expected immediately following registration to secure your spot at the workshop. Payment will not be accepted the day of the workshop because supplies need to be purchased in advance of the workshop. Registration closes November 18th!

Sips of Elderberry
A Herbal Syrup & Mocktail Workshop
