Step right up! Columbia City Connect invites the community to experience the excitement of First Fridays: Carnival on the Square on Friday, August 7, from 6 to 9 PM in downtown Columbia City. This free, family-friendly event will transform the downtown square into a lively carnival filled with entertainment, games, shopping, and community fun.

Guests of all ages can enjoy classic carnival style games, live entertainment, and interactive experiences throughout the evening. Performers and artists from T.A.G. Art Company will bring the carnival theme to life with a towering stilt walker, a playful mime, and caricature and henna artists.

Live music from Los Electro will keep the energy high with a mix of Latin dance and rock music, while local food trucks offer a variety of delicious options. More than 90 vendors will line the streets with handmade goods, unique products, and downtown businesses will stay open late, inviting visitors to shop, dine, and explore everything downtown Columbia City has to offer.

“First Fridays are all about creating memorable experiences that bring our community together,” said Jordan Esterline, First Fridays Committee Chair. “Carnival on the Square is a fun way to celebrate with family-friendly entertainment, local businesses, and activities that encourage people to experience the heart of downtown.”

Admission is free, and all are welcome. For more information about First Fridays: Carnival on the Square and other upcoming downtown events, visit columbiacityconnect.com/downtown-events/ or follow Columbia City Connect on Facebook and Instagram.
