There’s something special about gathering downtown on a Friday night- the music, the food, the laughter, the unmistakable energy in the air. That’s exactly what Columbia City First Fridays bring to life, and we’re thrilled to announce that this beloved tradition is back for the 2025 season!
Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, you’re invited to join us downtown on the first Friday of each month, May through October, as we roll out six unforgettable evenings packed with themed fun, local vendors, live entertainment, delicious food, and community connection.
2025 First Fridays Dates & Themes
May 2nd | Touch-A-Truck The 2025 First Fridays season kicks off May 2 with Touch-A-Truck, live music by Thumbrider ft. Jess Thrower, and the 13th Annual Plant Giveaway from Giving Gardens! Climb into fire trucks, cruisers, and more while enjoying freebies, family fun, and a night of community connection.
June 6th | Wheels of Whitley County Cruise into downtown June 6 for First Fridays: Wheels of Whitley County featuring a car show with classics, hot rods, and custom builds! Enjoy live music from SUN.DYLE, food trucks, vendors, and fun for all ages in a high-octane downtown atmosphere!
July 4th | BMX Backyard Bash Don’t miss First Fridays: BMX Backyard Bash on July 4 with jaw-dropping BMX stunt shows, yard games, and fun for all ages! Enjoy live music from Los Electro, food trucks, vendors, and an action-packed night in downtown Columbia City.
August 1st | WrestleFest Get ready for WrestleFest on September 5 as WWE-style wrestling and a showcase from our high school team take over downtown! Enjoy live music from Jeshua Marshall & The Flood, food trucks, vendors, and nonstop action all night long!
September 5th | Arts on the Square + Movie on the Square Join us September 5 for First Fridays: Artist’s Market, featuring local artists, makers, live music from The Declassified, food trucks, and family fun, plus an opening performance by the marching band! Explore handmade treasures and shop downtown as the streets come alive with creativity and community. Stick around for Movie on the Square to end the night with a magical outdoor film experience!
October 3rd | Fall in Love with Downtown Celebrate the magic of autumn at First Fridays: Fall Fest on October 3 with live music from Burnt Violets, food trucks, vendors, and festive fun for all ages! Shop late, soak in the cozy vibes, and enjoy a perfect fall night in the heart of downtown Columbia City.
