The City of Columbia City and Columbia City Connect are once again teaming up to present the popular Movie on the Square event, bringing families together for an evening of fun, community and entertainment under the stars.

This year’s feature film is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. A family-friendly adventure that promises laughs, thrills, and plenty of excitement. The movie will take place Friday, September 5, 2025, immediately following First Fridays: Art on the Square.

Admission to the movie is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and their favorite snacks to enjoy the show in comfort. The film will begin at dusk.

“Movie on the Square has become a cherished tradition in our community,” said Mayor Ryan Daniel, Mayor of Columbia City. “It’s a wonderful way for families and friends to enjoy our beautiful downtown while making lasting memories.”

Niki Keister, Executive Director of Columbia City Connect, added, “We love creating opportunities for people to gather downtown, and this year’s combination of Art on the Square and Movie on the Square is the perfect way to showcase local creativity and community spirit.”
