Columbia City’s July First Fridays: BMX Backyard Bash event was nothing short of spectacular, and we’re still buzzing from the energy that lit up downtown! From sky-high BMX stunts to dancing in the streets, it was a celebration to remember, and the perfect way to ring in Independence Day with our amazing community.
Wonder Wheels BMX Took Things to New Heights
The BMX Backyard Bash was a fan favorite—and it’s easy to see why! The Wonder Wheels BMX Stunt Team brought the thrills and wowed the crowd with an adrenaline-pumping show full of backflips, tailwhips, barspins and high-flying tricks that defied gravity. Spectators of all ages lined the streets, their eyes glued to the action and jaws dropping at every stunt. It was a performance that truly elevated the night– literally and figuratively!
Los Electro Brought the Vibes
Just when we thought the energy couldn’t get any higher, Los Electro hit the stage and kept the momentum going strong. Their electric beats and lively performance had people up and dancing in the streets. The atmosphere was alive with music, movement, and community spirit: a perfect blend for a summer night in downtown Columbia City.

We also want to give a huge thank you to the vendors who joined us during the holiday weekend. From unique crafts and local goods to delicious food and treats, our vendor lineup brought something special to the evening and helped fill downtown with energy, color, and charm.
