The Launchpad, a youth and family entrepreneur marketplace, will return for its second year as part of First Fridays in downtown Columbia City on Friday, May 1 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on the Courthouse Square.

The Launchpad provides young entrepreneurs a dedicated space to showcase and sell handmade goods, art, food items, and other creative products. The program is designed to give participants real-world experience in business, including customer interaction, pricing, and money management.

“Big ideas start small, and The Launchpad gives young people a place to begin turning those ideas into real experience,” organizers with Columbia City Connect said.

Now in its second year, The Launchpad continues to grow as part of the monthly First Fridays series, which brings live entertainment, local shopping, and family-friendly activities to downtown Columbia City.

The Launchpad is open to youth and family vendors selected in advance. Participants are responsible for their own setup and are encouraged to promote their businesses within their communities.
