As we close out another magical Walk of Trees, our hearts are full. This cherished holiday tradition continues to shine year after year because of the incredible people who make it possible—our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and the entire community. We hope everyone who attended felt the wonder of the season and created new holiday memories beneath the glow of the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths.

This year, 37 incredible tree and wreath sponsors brought their creativity and talent to the event, filling The Clugston with joy, sparkle and unique designs. From whimsical creations to elegant holiday displays, each sponsor’s work highlighted the extraordinary pride and artistry of our community. We are so grateful to each and every sponsor for helping make the Walk of Trees a true celebration of creativity and holiday cheer.

A special thank you goes to Abby Carter, Realtor – RE/MAX Integrity, for sponsoring this year’s photo opportunity, created by Midwest Slumber Company. Guests had the chance to snap memorable photos under the festive balloon arch–a keepsake for seasons to come. The Lawrence E. Wolfe Community Handbell Choir welcomed visitors on opening night with beautiful music that set the perfect tone for the event, while the Columbia City Lions Club kept everyone warm with delicious hot cocoa. The Columbia City High School Cheerleaders brought smiles to countless faces with their face painting, and the Miss Whitley County Scholarship Program helped draw this year’s winners, continuing their wonderful support of the event. We are also endlessly grateful to our volunteers, whose energy, smiles, and willingness to serve make Walk of Trees possible, and to Brightpoint for providing The Clugston as the perfect space to share holiday magic with the community.

This year’s People’s Choice Award went to Minear Real Estate, LLC, whose Polar Express-themed tree, complete with a working train circling the midsection, captured the hearts of visitors. Other fan favorites included Olivia Hinen – State Farm, Vintage Blessed General Store, Micropulse, Inc., and Steel Dynamics, each adding their own creative flair to make the event even more memorable.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited, voted, sipped cocoa, took photos, and supported this beloved holiday tradition. Bringing this event to life for our community is our greatest joy, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

From all of us at Columbia City Connect, thank you for helping keep the spirit of the season shining bright in downtown Columbia City.
