Downtown Columbia City was the place to be for August’s First Friday– and if you were there, you know why. WrestleFest delivered an action-packed evening filled with high energy, big talent and even bigger community support.
From the moment the ring was set, the excitement started building. The crowd was all in: cheering, clapping and completely wrapped up in the spectacle. A massive thank you goes out to White River Wrestling for bringing the intensity and talent that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Their team brought the show, and the fans brought the noise.

But WrestleFest wasn’t just about the pros, it was also a chance for local athletes to step into the spotlight. Columbia City Wrestling hosted Open Mat sessions, where youth and adults alike showcased their skills and passion. It was incredible to witness the heart and hustle of our local talent, and even more inspiring to see the community show up to support them.

No First Friday is complete without our amazing lineup of local vendors. The streets were lined with small businesses offering everything from handmade goods to mouthwatering food. Many of our vendors have become beloved staples at First Fridays, and their dedication and friendliness continue to elevate every event.
And we can’t forget the music. Jeshua Marshall and the Flood hit the stage with a performance that had the whole block moving. Their high-energy set brought even more life to the evening and was the perfect way to close out the night.

None of this would be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A special thank you to Morsches Builders Mart, our Entertainment Sponsor, for helping us bring big energy and live music downtown. Your continued support helps make events like these happen and grow bigger and better every time.

Most of all, thank you to our community. You showed up, you showed out, and you reminded us why we love Columbia City. From local families cheering on wrestlers to friends dancing in the street– you are what makes First Fridays so special.
We’re already looking forward to what’s next. Until then, thank you for helping us make downtown come alive.
